Morgan Township extended their home winning streak to 13 games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Lexi Rippe. The Cherokees were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Knox Redskins on Tuesday for which the team can thank Rippe, who had 12 digs and two assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Morgan Township was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-21, 25-18.

Despite the loss, Knox had strong showings from Addison Sponaugle, who had 15 digs, and Da'Miya Sherrod, who had five digs and two aces. Autumn Nowatzke also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Morgan Township's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Knox, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season.

Morgan Township will face off against Valparaiso at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Knox, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Westville on the 28th.
