Mayfield is 7-2 against North since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Kansas will venture away from home to take on the Rangers at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Mayfield is likely headed into the game with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Kenston on Friday. The Kansas fell 14-7 to the Bombers. The Kansas haven't had much luck with the Bombers recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Meanwhile, North played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against Riverside, falling 42-21. While losing is never fun, the Rangers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 338th, while the Beavers are ranked 109th).

North's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Mayfield, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.

Mayfield didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against North when the teams last played back in September of 2024, but they still walked away with a 6-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Kansas since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
