            Softball Recap: Miyamura Patriots vs. Albuquerque Academy Chargers        
        
		
        
        
            Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Miyamura). Everything went their way against the Albuquerque Academy Chargers on Thursday as the Miyamura Patriots made off with  a  16-1 win. The  victory continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with the Chargers: they've now won three in a row.
 Phillicity Nez made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching 2.2 innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. Nez was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with one  double and one  RBI.

 In other batting news, Miyamura got a  massive  performance out of  Shelby Haskie, who  scored two  runs and  stole  Two bases. while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave  Haskie a new career-high in  RBI (three). Another player making a difference was  Celeste Cano, who  scored three  runs and  stole  Three bases. while  getting on base  in all three of her plate appearances.
 Miyamura  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .759. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
Miyamura now  has a winning record of 4-3. As for Albuquerque Academy, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record  this season.
 Miyamura will face off against San Juan at 2:30  p.m.  on Friday. As for Albuquerque Academy, they will be taking part in a tournament against Pojoaque Valley  at 10:50  a.m.  on Friday.
