After a string of six wins, San Clemente's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. Neither they nor the Woodbridge Warriors could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 3-3 tie.

Luca Cifuentes spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on four hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

San Clemente's tie gives them a new season record of 7-3-1. Meanwhile, Woodbridge's record is now 2-3-1.

Looking ahead, San Clemente will head out to take on Mission Viejo at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. San Clemente's pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so Mission Viejo's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Woodbridge, they will host Trabuco Hills at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
