Baseball Recap: Delmarva Christian Wins Going Away Against Mckean

There's no place like home for Delmarva Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the McKean Highlanders on Friday as they made off with a 12-1 win. The contest marked the Royals' most dominant victory of the season.

The team relied heavily on Kasey Bell, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Malachi Light, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one double.

Delmarva Christian pushed their record up to 10-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for McKean, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-9-1 record this season.

Delmarva Christian will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Milford at 11:00 a.m. As for McKean, they will head out on the road to face off against Dickinson at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Rams will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Highlanders surely won't give up without a fight.
