Basketball Game Preview: Brindlee Mountain Lions vs. Asbury Rams

Brindlee Mountain is 2-8 against Asbury since November of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Brindlee Mountain Lions will be playing at home against the Asbury Rams at 5:30 p.m.

Brindlee Mountain is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Friday. They took a 51-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of Coosa Christian. While the Lions didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Conquerors 16-10 in the first quarter.

Despite their loss, Brindlee Mountain saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Brooke West, who posted 12 points, was perhaps the best of all. West is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Zoey Persle, who went 6 for 13 on her way to 15 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

Meanwhile, Asbury can finally bid farewell to their ten-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Friday. They slipped by Elkmont 37-36.

Asbury's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-8. As for Brindlee Mountain, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.
