Preview: Lewis Cass Kings vs. North Miami Warriors
Lewis Cass is 3-0 against North Miami since November of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Lewis Cass Kings will be playing in front of their home fans against the North Miami Warriors at 7:45 p.m. Lewis Cass will be strutting in after a victory while North Miami will be coming in after a defeat.
Lewis Cass can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They skirted past Rochester 46-44.
Lewis Cass' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from L.j. Hillis, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kolten Young, who scored four points along with eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, North Miami's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight defeat. They were outmatched by Tippecanoe Valley on the road and fell 75-35. While losing is never fun, North Miami can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 414th, while Tippecanoe Valley is ranked 137th).
Lewis Cass' victory bumped their record up to 6-11. As for North Miami, they dropped their record down to 2-15 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
Lewis Cass strolled past North Miami in their previous matchup back in March of 2018 by a score of 67-51. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was North Miami's Noah Goulette, who scored 17 points along with two steals.
