Bearden strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They put the hurt on the Columbia Christian Crusaders with a sharp 13-1 victory. Considering the Bears have won seven matchups by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Bearden pushed their record up to 8-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Columbia Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Bearden is set to face off against their familiar foe Taylor at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bears 0.8, the Tigers 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Columbia Christian will take on rival Lafayette County at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
