Football Recap: Riana Shbeeb Leads University's Defense on Monday

After soaring to 38 points the game before, University was a bit more limited in their match on Monday. They fell 18-12 to the Shadow Hills Knights. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 350th, while the Knights are ranked 37th).

Although University took the loss, they still got scores from Natalia Anania and Arden Marchiorlatti.

Even if they lost, University's defense still kept up the pressure with three sacks. Riana Shbeeb was especially locked on to Shadow Hills' QB and sacked her twice.

University's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Shadow Hills, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-2.

University has already played their next contest, a 12-7 loss against Northwood on the 3rd. As for Shadow Hills, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 14-13 defeat against Portola on the 1st.
