Detroit Country Day came tearing into Thursday's contest with six straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Farmington Falcons by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Yellowjackets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Detroit Country Day took both sets by at least 12 points. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-13.

Detroit Country Day found their leader in freshman Anna McBride, who had ten digs and three aces. Grace Cassise also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assists of the season.

Detroit Country Day was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in seven consecutive games.

Detroit Country Day's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Farmington, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
