Soccer Recap: Mt. Pleasant Comes Up Short

Mt. Pleasant lost to Jacksonville back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Tigers fell just short of the Fightin' Indians by a score of 3-2. While losing is never fun, Mt. Pleasant can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 168th, while Jacksonville are ranked 26th).

Mt. Pleasant's defeat dropped their record down to 12-6-2. As for Jacksonville, the win was the 15th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-1.

Looking ahead, Mt. Pleasant will challenge Lufkin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jacksonville, they will square off against Marshall at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Jacksonville are facing Marshall at the right time seeing as Marshall are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
