Baseball Recap: Braden River Comes Up Short

Braden River and Fort Myers squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Braden River had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Green Wave by a score of 4-3. The Pirates were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Green Wave earlier this season, when they won 4-2.

Parker Gabbard and Nick Curbelo did some serious damage despite the final result: Gabbard went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI, while Curbelo went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Braden River's defeat dropped their record down to 19-12. As for Fort Myers, they pushed their record up to 22-11 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

As of now, neither Braden River nor the Green Wave have any future games scheduled.
