North Putnam has gone 9-1 against Cloverdale recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The North Putnam Cougars will venture away from home to challenge the Cloverdale Clovers at 7:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Last Friday, North Putnam lost to Greencastle on the road by a 58-39 margin. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 393rd, while the Tiger Cubs are ranked 147th).

Meanwhile, Cloverdale ended up a good deal behind White River Valley on Saturday and lost 66-50. The Clovers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cloverdale now has a losing record at 6-7. As for North Putnam, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-11.

North Putnam strolled past Cloverdale when the teams last played back in February of 2024 by a score of 60-43. Does North Putnam have another victory up their sleeve, or will Cloverdale turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
