Softball Recap: Marana Takes a Loss

If Marana was riding high fresh off their 15-5 takedown of West Point on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers fell just short of the Tucson High Magnet School Badgers by a score of 6-4 on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Badgers: they've now lost four in a row.

Marana saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hayden Christensen-Strand, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

Marana's loss dropped their record down to 15-12. As for Tucson High Magnet School, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season.

Marana wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 7-6 defeat against Canyon del Oro on the 25th. As for Tucson High Magnet School, they have also already played their next match, a 10-1 win against Corona del Sol on the 21st.
