Liberty is a perfect 3-0 against Moreno Valley since March of 2024 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Bison will venture away from home to challenge the Vikings at 5:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Liberty has three straight victories, Moreno Valley has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
Last Thursday, Liberty was able to grind out a solid win over Paloma Valley, taking the game 3-1.
The victory didn't come easy: Paloma Valley scored at least 20 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-20, 18-25, 25-23.

Liberty's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tyler Guardado, who had ten digs and four blocks. What's more, Guardado posted three kills, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Damian Cabrera, who had nine digs and two aces.
Liberty was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in three consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Moreno Valley didn't have quite enough to beat Hemet on Thursday and fell 3-2.
Moreno Valley started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 19-25, 25-19, 26-24, 15-12.
Liberty's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 21-9. As for Moreno Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 7-12.
Liberty came out on top in a nail-biter against Moreno Valley in their previous meeting back in March, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bison since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
