Basketball Game Preview: Stanton Blue Devils vs. Eagle's View Warriors

The Stanton Blue Devils will take on the Eagle's View Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Stanton has struggled recently with 11 defeats in a row, while Eagle's View will arrive with four straight wins.

Last Wednesday, Stanton ended up a good deal behind KIPP Bold City and lost 59-41. While losing is never fun, the Blue Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 726th, while the Greyhounds are ranked 303rd).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Eagle's View). Everything went their way against First Coast Christian on Friday as Eagle's View made off with an 89-64 victory. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 20 points or more this season.

Eagle's View's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-4. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 32.2 points. As for Stanton, their loss dropped their record down to 2-14.
