Volleyball Recap: Cozad Comes Up Short

Cozad lost against Cambridge back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Haymakers fell 2-0 to the Trojans.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Cambridge scored at least 17 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-17.

Emersyn Propp paced Cozad's offense, picking up eight kills. Propp got some help from Whitney Regelin and her 16 assists. Finally, Propp was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Cozad now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Cambridge, their victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-4.

Coincidentally, Cozad and Cambridge will both be playing McCook the next time they take the court. The Haymakers will host the Bison at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Trojans will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
