Flag Football Game Preview: Sherman Oaks CES Knights vs. Crenshaw Cougars

The Sherman Oaks CES Knights will take on the Crenshaw Cougars at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (Sherman Oaks CES 13, Crenshaw 8.5) so any points scored will be well earned.

Sherman Oaks CES is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They snuck past North Hollywood with a 13-7 victory.

Meanwhile, Crenshaw entered their tilt with Foshay on Wednesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 19-6 win over the Wolverines.

One reason for the win was Crenshaw's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for seven sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Mahollan Mclean and Tehessanderse Derisseau, who racked up six sacks between them. Mclean is on a roll when it comes to sacks, as she's now posted at least one in each of the last four games she's played. Nevaeh Bell got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Sherman Oaks CES' victory bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Crenshaw, their win bumped their record up to 16-7-1.
