Softball Game Preview: Lincoln Park Academy Greyhounds vs. Treasure Coast Titans

Lincoln Park Academy is 1-8 against Treasure Coast since March of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Greyhounds will head out to face off against the Titans at 4:00 p.m. Lincoln Park Academy has given up an average of 14.1 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Lincoln Park Academy fell victim to Sebastian River and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 13-0 to the Sharks. The Greyhounds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Treasure Coast was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of Vero Beach.

Treasure Coast saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Callie Smith, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Lincoln Park Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12-1. As for Treasure Coast, their loss dropped their record down to 7-14.

Lincoln Park Academy might still be hurting after the 17-0 defeat they got from Treasure Coast in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Greyhounds avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
