Baseball Recap: Pennridge Comes Up Short

Pennridge extended their losing streak to three on Monday, dropping their season record down to 8-7 in the process. They lost 12-0 to the Central Bucks South Titans. The Rams were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Titans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

As for Central Bucks South, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-5. The contest marked their most dominant win of the season.

For Central Bucks South's part, they got a great performance from Luke Hillegass as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over 4.2 innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts Hillegass has posted since back in March of 2024.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jake Yang, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Blake Bell, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three RBI and one run.

While Pennridge had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
