League recap: Lancaster scores huge upset over Littlerock

The biggest upset of the week belonged to Littlerock, who took down 804th ranked Littlerock, 16-13. Michael Evans threw for 178 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 86 yards in the win.

Quartz Hill moved up to 175 from 223 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Golden. The Rebels were able to make move up by defeating Knight 49-12.

John Cortez was the best wideout in the league this week as Lancaster bested the Lobos. Cortez tallied 11 receptions for 118 yards. Jordan Santineau helped Lancaster's passing attack out by catching one ball for 32 yards.

Anthony Bryant was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 14 carries, he ran for 101 yards as Littlerock topped Littlerock. Teammate Jason King added to the ground attack by rushing for 75 yards.

Highland's Donte Ross and Jamire Jordan have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Golden in both passing and receiving yards. Ross has thrown for 921 yards this season, while Jordan, a 6-foot-0 receiver, has 29 catches for 474 yards. Palmdale's Demario Richard leads the league in rushing yards with 1119.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Bulldogs take on Antelope Valley. Highland is in fifth place, while the Antelopes are in second place.

The Falcons extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Antelope Valley, 53-12. This was the team's eighth consecutive win.
