Softball Recap: Merritt Island Comes Up Short

Merritt Island saw some tournament action on Thursday. They fell just short of the University Titans by a score of 2-1. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Merritt Island saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mady Hardin, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Merritt Island now has a losing record of 7-8. As for University, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-4.

Looking ahead, Merritt Island will head out to challenge Rockledge at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for University, they will host Flagler Palm Coast at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
