Softball Recap: Cayuga Wildcats vs. Frankston Indians
Cayuga was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They wound up on the wrong side of a tough 13-2 walloping at the hands of the Frankston Indians. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Cayuga of the 17-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture last Tuesday.
Tatum Willingham made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with a home run and two RBI.
Cayuga's loss dropped their record down to 3-19-1. As for Frankston, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-11.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cayuga will challenge LaPoynor at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Frankston, they will head out on the road to take on Martins Mill at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Frankston is facing Martins Mill at the right time seeing as Martins Mill is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
