Baseball Recap: Loogootee Takes a Loss

Loogootee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 7-2 to the Barr-Reeve Vikings. If the Lions were looking for revenge after losing 7-3 to the Vikings when the teams met back in May of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Grayson Kluesner was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and two doubles.

Loogootee's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Barr-Reeve, their victory was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Loogootee will square off against Bloomfield at 5:30 p.m. on May 6. As for Barr-Reeve, they will challenge South Knox at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
