Softball Recap: Cleveland Rams vs. Clayton Comets
In what's become a running theme this season, Cleveland gave their fans yet another huge win on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by an 11-1 margin over the Clayton Comets. Winning may never get old, but Cleveland sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Lani Pennica made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Pennica has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive pitching appearances. Pennica was also big at the plate, going 2-for-2 with three RBI and a triple.
In other batting news, Sadie Johnston was a standout: she went 3-for-3 with three runs and a triple. Another player making a difference was Kendall Gaunt, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
