Chatfield is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They pulled ahead with a 15-14 photo finish over Poudre School District. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Chargers have posted since October 9, 2024.

Meanwhile, Ralston Valley faced Valor Christian in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Mustangs took a 13-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The game marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

The win got Chatfield back to even at 8-8. As for Ralston Valley, with the loss, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-3.

Chatfield was dealt a bruising 40-12 defeat at the hands of Ralston Valley when the teams last played two weeks ago. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Mustangs' Kailyn Korkus, who threw for 315 yards and five TDs, and also rushed for 36 yards and one score.
