Football Recap: Newman International Academy Comes Up Short

Newman International Academy blew CTSA O out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday CTSA O got their revenge. The Warriors might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 30-27 to the Outlaws, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Warriors' loss continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row dating back to last season.

Newman International Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for CTSA O, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Newman International Academy will challenge Shelton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors will be up against the Chargers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 44 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for CTSA O, they will head out on the road to challenge Moody at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
