Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Gonzaga Prep couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Richland Bombers on Tuesday. The Bullpups' loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Lars Bazler was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That home run was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Brady Strahl, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Gonzaga Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 18-5. As for Richland, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.
