Conway Christian dropped down to 5-4 on Friday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Hector Wildcats, falling 32-12. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.
As for Hector, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-1. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won six games by 20 points or more so far this season.
Lucas Baker had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 252 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 8.4 yards per carry. The team also got some help courtesy of Drew Newport, who rushed for 41 yards and one score.
Conway Christian didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 34-16 defeat against Bigelow on the 7th. As for Hector, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 50-22 victory against Magazine on the 7th.
