Volleyball Recap: Jefferson Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Jefferson had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell 3-1 to the Priory Panthers on Friday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it 18 in a row.

Jefferson started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 16-25, 25-12, 25-16, 26-24.

Priory found their leader in freshman Charlize De Luna, who had four digs and three aces.

Priory has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Jefferson has already played their next match, a 3-2 victory against Hill on the 9th. As for Priory, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 1-1 draw against MacDonald on the 9th.
