Volleyball Recap: West Valley Takes a Loss

West Valley extended their losing streak to four on Saturday, dropping them down to 12-24-3. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Mountain City Christian Academy Lions. The Wolf Pack were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2023.

As for Mountain City Christian Academy, the victory got them back to even at 18-18-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since October 11th.

Elli Courtney was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 11 assists and four digs. That's the most assists she has posted over her last six matchups.

Looking ahead, West Valley will welcome North Pole at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Mountain City Christian Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Ketchikan on the 25th.
