Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask California). They put the hurt on the Hallsville Indians with a sharp 16-6 victory on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Pintos, who have now won four contests by nine runs or more so far this season.

California's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Hallsville, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.

Looking ahead, California will square off against Licking at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Pintos surely won't give up without a fight. As for Hallsville, they will head out to face off against Macon at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
