Basketball Recap: Fort Wayne Canterbury Comes Up Short

Fort Wayne Canterbury was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Prairie Heights Panthers and fell 66-16. If the Cavaliers were looking for revenge after losing 55-13 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Leading Prairie Heights to victory were Emily McCrea and Bailee Godsey. McCrea dropped a double-double on 26 points and ten rebounds, while Godsey went 5 of 6 on her way to 11 points along with six steals and five assists. The dominant performance gave McCrea a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Joselynn Stutzman, who posted eight points.

Fort Wayne Canterbury's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Prairie Heights, their win bumped their record up to 4-6.

Fort Wayne Canterbury will take on Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian in a holiday battle at 6:00 p.m. on December 20th at. As for Prairie Heights, they will take on Eastside at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
