Basketball Recap: Imagine Prep Extends Home Winning Streak to Five

Imagine Prep had won four straight home games and Aaliyah Chacon did her part to make it five on Thursday. The Imagine Prep Storm walked away with a 49-42 victory over the East Valley Athletes for Christ Eagles thanks in part to Chacon, who posted 23 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Imagine Prep's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Tatum Raymond, who had five points. She has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played.

Imagine Prep's win bumped their record up to 10-0. As for East Valley Athletes for Christ, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 8-1.

Imagine Prep has already played their next contest, a 61-25 victory against Sequoia Pathfinder Verrado Way on the 24th. East Valley Athletes for Christ has also already played their next game (against Learning Foundation & Performing Arts), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
