Groton-Dunstable is 8-2 against Fitchburg since May of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Crusaders will host the Blue Raiders at 4:00 p.m. Groton-Dunstable is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.

Last Thursday, Groton-Dunstable came up short against North Middlesex Regional and fell 8-4.

Groton-Dunstable saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaitlin Haggerty, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI. Priya Fiore was another, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Meanwhile, Fitchburg didn't have quite enough to beat Shepherd Hill Regional on Tuesday and fell 5-4. The Blue Raiders haven't had much luck with the Rams recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Fitchburg's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Groton-Dunstable, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-9-1.

Groton-Dunstable was able to grind out a solid victory over Fitchburg when the teams last played back in April, winning 11-6. Will the Crusaders repeat their success, or do the Blue Raiders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
