Upland lost to Claremont back in February of 2022, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Highlanders/Scots put the hurt on the Wolfpack with a sharp 12-6 victory. The Highlanders/Scots' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Joe Aguilar looked comfortable as he pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

On the hitting side, Jaedan Quemada was a standout: he scored four runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-5. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Carson Kinnick also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Upland's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-8. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Claremont, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-7-1.

Coming up, Upland is taking a road trip to square off against Rancho Cucamonga at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Claremont, they will host Montebello at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wolfpack's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Oilers have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season.
