Basketball Recap: Foley Now 5-1 over Last Six Games

Foley hadn't done well against Robertsdale recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Foley Lions came out on top against the Robertsdale Golden Bears by a score of 54-44. This was payback for the Lions, who suffered a 57-49 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Despite the loss, Robertsdale had strong showings from Skyler Washington, who went 5 for 9 on his way to 18 points, and Anthony Carmichael, who went 6 of 8 en route to 12 points and five rebounds. That's the most points Carmichael has posted since back in November of 2024.

Foley is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.3 points per game. As for Robertsdale, they dropped their record down to 4-18 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Foley will take on Daphne at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Daphne's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matchups. As for Robertsdale, they will face off against Fairhope at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
