Basketball Game Preview: St. Francis Christian Patriots vs. Lake Region Christian Hornets

The St. Francis Christian Patriots are taking a road trip to take on the Lake Region Christian Hornets at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (St. Francis Christian has five straight victories, Lake Region Christian has 11 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

St. Francis Christian picked up another tournament win on Friday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 70-42 win over First Baptist. The Patriots have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 games by 27 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Lake Region Christian came up short against Prior Lake Christian on Saturday and fell 60-49.

St. Francis Christian pushed their record up to 17-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 85.0 points over those games. As for Lake Region Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Everything came up roses for St. Francis Christian against Lake Region Christian in their previous meeting back in January, as the squad secured a 90-55 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for St. Francis Christian since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
