Soccer Game Preview: Lake Gibson vs. Davenport

The Lake Gibson Braves will challenge the Davenport Broncos at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Lake Gibson took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They never let Four Corners onto the board and left with a 4-0 win. The high-scoring effort was just what the Braves needed considering they were shutout in their previous matchup.

They hit Four Corners with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Breanna Clyatt (2), Lindsey Gonsalves, and Lilly Eisnaugle.

Meanwhile, Davenport's game on Thursday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. Everything went their way against Ridgeview Global Studies Academy as Davenport made off with a 4-1 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Broncos.

The win got Lake Gibson back to even at 6-6-1. As for Davenport, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3-1.
