             Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better  (just ask Metrolina Christian Academy). They came out on top against the Covenant Day Lions by a score of  38-26  on Thursday. That's more bragging rights for the Warriors, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
 Metrolina Christian Academy got their  win on the backs of several key players, but it was  Jeremy Williams out in front who rushed for 120 yards and two touchdowns. That's the most  total yards  Williams has posted since  back in October of 2023.  Alex Germano was another key pass catcher, rushing for 96 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries.
 Germano wasn't the only one working in the  rushing yards department: Metrolina Christian Academy was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 279  rushing yards. That's the most  rushing yards they've managed all season.
 Metrolina Christian Academy's victory  ended  a  five-game drought on the road  dating back to last season and  puts them at 2-2. As for Covenant Day, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Metrolina Christian Academy will take on Asheville School (Independent) at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Covenant Day, they will welcome Asheville Christian Academy  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
