Basketball Recap: Ross Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Ross can now relate to. They fell 72-61 to the Aiken Falcons on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 272nd, while the Falcons are ranked eighth).

Jaiden Arnold was his usual excellent self, en route to 22 points and seven assists for Aiken. Arnold's evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Antwan Hinton, who to rack up 19 points.

Ross' loss dropped their record down to 13-11. As for Aiken, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 23-1.

Ross does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Aiken, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Falcons duke it out with the Golden Eagles on Saturday. One thing working in Aiken's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
