Preview: Case Cardinals vs. Dighton-Rehoboth Regional Falcons
The Case Cardinals will head out on the road to square off against the Dighton-Rehoboth Regional Falcons at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
After a string of five wins, Case's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. The game between Case and West Bridgewater wasn't particularly close, with Case falling 60-42. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Case came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 107th, while West Bridgewater is ranked 235th).
Dighton-Rehoboth Regional suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Thursday. Their rough 75-55 loss to Somerset Berkley Regional might stick with them for a while. Dighton-Rehoboth Regional has not had much luck with Somerset Berkley Regional recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Case's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-3. As for Dighton-Rehoboth Regional, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.
Case couldn't quite finish off Dighton-Rehoboth Regional in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 and fell 75-72. Can Case avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
