Volleyball Recap: Sturgis West Takes a Loss

If Sturgis West was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Nantucket on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Navigators came up short against the St. John Paul II Lions on Friday, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Navigators in their meetings with the Lions: they've now lost three in a row.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-10, 25-12.

Sturgis West's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for St. John Paul II, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Sturgis West will venture away from home to face off against Upper Cape Cod RVT at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. John Paul II, they will head out to take on Calvary Chapel Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
