Softball Game Preview: Beaver Beavers vs. Parowan Rams

The Beaver Beavers will square off against the Parowan Rams at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing is sure in Beaver's favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while Parowan has been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.

Beaver made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Grand County, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Beaver blew past Grand County 7-1 on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Beavers, who have now won eight games by six runs or more so far this season.

Brindee Carter spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on five hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Lily Wright, who scored three runs and stole five bases while going 2-for-3. Those five stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Danzee Bradshaw, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 11 runs the game before, Parowan was a bit more limited in their match on Friday. They lost 11-1 to Millard.

Beaver has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.9 runs over those games. Parowan's defeat dropped their record down to 1-14.
