Covington was handed a five-goal loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They beat the Haywood Tomcats by a goal, winning 3-2. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Covington also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2023.

Something new happened on Tuesday as Erika Perez saw her first action of the season, playing one minutes against Haywood. Perez made the most of the opportunity, putting up two assists A few more games like that and she might be seeing even more time going forward.
