Recap: Grace Prep Lions vs. Pantego Christian Panthers
The Grace Prep Lions can now show off ten landslide victories after their most recent contest on Tuesday. They blew past Pantego Christian 67-32 on the road. Given Grace Prep's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 339th, while Pantego Christian is ranked 1043rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Grace Prep got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Zaria Howard out in front who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 16 rebounds. Sophie Jordan was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with eight rebounds and seven steals.
Grace Prep has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season. As for Pantego Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-13.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grace Prep will challenge Fort Worth Country Day at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Pantego Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on St. Paul's Prep at 6:00 p.m. on February 6th.
