After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Troy, Sidney was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They won by a run and slipped past the West Carrollton Pirates 3-2. The victory was some much needed relief for the Yellowjackets as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

The team relied heavily on Brooks Taylor, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that he has brought in this season.

Sidney's win bumped their record up to 5-7. As for West Carrollton, their loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-10.

Sidney will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Pirates: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
