Baseball Game Preview: High Tech SD Storm vs. Hoover Cardinals

For the second straight game, High Tech SD will face off against Hoover. The Storm will venture away from home to take on the Cardinals at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (High Tech SD has four straight wins, Hoover has 22 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

High Tech SD proved they can win big last Saturday (they won by 19) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a run and slipped past Hoover 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Storm have posted since May 15, 2024.

Neal Griswold tossed a big game, striking out nine batters over 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits.

On the hitting side, Nano Acevedo was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in February.

High Tech SD now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Hoover, their loss dropped their record down to 0-17.
