Baseball Recap: Frontier Has No Trouble Against Hanford

Frontier not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 7th. They put the hurt on the Hanford Bullpups with a sharp 9-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Titans in their matchups with the Bullpups: they've now won five in a row.

Landon Nettles tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Landon McDonald was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with three runs and one triple. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Jaylen Tia, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Frontier now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Hanford, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Frontier will welcome Garces Memorial at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Titans will need to watch out since the Rams have now posted at least ten runs in their last three games. As for Hanford, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lemoore at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Bullpups' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
