Basketball Game Preview: Mountain View Toros vs. Cibola Raiders

The Mountain View Toros will take on the Cibola Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Cibola is hoping to do what Skyline couldn't on Friday: put an end to Mountain View's winning streak, which now stands at three games. Mountain View claimed a resounding 56-21 win over Skyline.

Meanwhile, Cibola had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 45 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They blew past the Rams, posting a 64-25 victory. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 83rd, while the Rams are ranked 222nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Mountain View is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.1 points per game. As for Cibola, their win bumped their record up to 12-6.

Mountain View strolled past Cibola in their previous matchup last Friday by a score of 56-37. Will Mountain View repeat their success, or does Cibola have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
